Silvio has extensive experience in geospatial analysis applied to natural disaster, environmental issues, water resources, and energy. He has large experience as a consultant including companies such as: Petrobras/Transpetro, Suzano, EDP, and Toyota Motor Foundation.
He completed his PhD in Geography at the Sao Paulo University (USP) and a pos-doc at Harvard University (focus : water resources and climate variability).
